How a liner works

The pool liner is essential to ensure waterproofing at all times. your swimming pool. How to choose a suitable liner for your swimming pool?

Before even making your choice of liner, it is of course necessary to assess the situation of your swimming pool as well as its shape and measurements. This step is essential to benefit quality and perfectly adapted material!

A liner for what type of pool?

Above all, anyone wishing to benefit from a liner adapted to their swimming pool must transmit certain additional details such as:

- Is the liner intended to be installed outside mainland France?

- Will the liner be installed in a pool for collective use such as a hotel, a campsite or even a physiotherapy center?

Generally speaking, if a swimming pool is intended to be heated permanently and for all year round, we strongly advise against using the 75/100 liner model Classic. In fact, it is preferable to use the version with protective varnish, much more resistant to these conditions.

Information and taking measurements

Transmitting a lot of information before manufacturing a liner is a step crucial. The principal must also transmit a plan that is both precise and complete allowing only one interpretation. Must be specified:

- The liner attachment system

The HUNG attachment: this is the most used, a flexible PVC profile is welded on the periphery on the upper liner part of the liner. This profile slides into the lip of the aluminum or PVC rail which is fixed flush to the pool wall

OVERLAP hooking: used most of the time for swimming pools above ground, we manufacture the liner with an excess of approximately 15 cm. The excess material must be allowed to overflow behind the pool wall and a U-shaped clip clamps the liner against the structure to ensure it is held in place.

V or SHEET attachment: a special profile is welded to the upper part of the liner and covers the top of the pool wall.

- The vertical and horizontal angles as well as any radii:

It is necessary to know the nature of your vertical and horizontal angles. This is so that the manufacturer can calculate a loss or gain in material value in its manufacturing. The radius of sharp or rounded corners must absolutely be constant from top to bottom.


BACKGROUND OR HORIZONTAL ANGLE (standard = 5 cm)

We ask for the radius of the rounding between the vertical wall and the bottom of your pool.

PEL OR VERTICAL ANGLE (standard = 15 cm)



We ask for the radius of the rounding between 2 vertical walls.

- Lengths, widths and diagonals:

You must ensure that the pool is square, for this you must measure the two lengths, the two widths as well as the two diagonals. You must take the measurements clear of the rounded corners. (that is, if you had a sharp angle). Please note that if the pool is not square, you will be charged a non-standard added value.

- Height:

You must take measurements with a level ruler. The measurement is made from the bottom of the pool (clear of the corners therefore after the corners) to the hanging rail.

- Slope and verification:

All slope measurements must be taken horizontally and not following the slopes.




The total length and width is equal to the sum of the intermediate widths and lengths.

- Important notes:

- Optionally, you can order a frieze or a printed liner, it is impossible to guarantee the matching of the patterns. On a dark printed liner, a white border may appear on the welds. As options, we make 2-color liners, the peripheral welds between the bottom and the wall do not necessarily correspond to the bottom edge
