Space around the pool?

Reminder: Fixing is done exclusively in a concrete slab or concrete blocks. Our bar cover models are intended for in-ground pools except for the Above Ground COVERWOOD model developed specifically for above-ground wooden pools. Bar covers are not compatible with an overflow pool.

The clearance must be sufficient to install and secure the tarpaulin: encroachment of the cover, positioning of the straps, length of the end tubes, shape of the copings, storage of the cover.

Our advice for using a swimming pool bar cover!

- For reasons of security and durability of the cover, it is necessary to ensure that the water level in the basin is always at the height of use (approximately 2/3 of the top of the skimmers), in order to relieve the cover and thus reduce bending aluminum profiles in the event of overload, summer and winter, this contributes to the “reassuring aspect” of the bar cover. Under no circumstances should the water level exceed the upper part of the skimmers and must not fall below a level of 25 cm from the top of the coping.

- Each time the bar tarpaulin is closed, it must be tensioned using straps equipped with ratchets.0 All tension must be be carried out symmetrically and distributed in order to allow optimal installation and - in particular to avoid any damage to your tarpaulin with bars. Take particular care in checking the plastic reinforcements (protective pad) fixed under the tubes.

- In winter, take all measures to prevent the water from overflowing (provide for an overflow) or freezing of pipes or parts to be sealed (provide plugs, gizzmos and winter floats to avoid any damage to the pool).During periods of heavy precipitation, remove the impurities deposited on the rainwater evacuation cavities, in order to avoid the formation of pockets of water.

- In winter, take all measures to prevent the water from overflowing (provide for an overflow) or the freezing of pipes or parts to be sealed (provide plugs, gizzmos and winter floats to avoid any damage to the pool).During periods of heavy precipitation, remove the impurities deposited on the rainwater evacuation cavities, in order to avoid the formation of pockets of water.

- Above 10 cm of snow, immediately clear the snow from the cover.We even recommend clearing as much snow as possible as you go along

Our maintenance advice:  

- Cleaning your bar cover must be carried out at least 4 times a year using a cleaning product. gentle, non-abrasive, non-foaming and above all solvent-free cleaner. Remove the pool cover to carry out this cleaning. Abrasive sponges are prohibited. For routine maintenance, simply use a jet of water.

- Check periodically and at least once a quarter that the cover is perfectly assembled and in good condition. All of the tension straps, ratchets, stainless steel aluminum socket eyebolts as well as plastic reinforcements protect the coping and in particular their attachment to the aluminum tubes must be checked regularly with an immediate change in the event of visible wear or deterioration of one of these parts.

-This check is also necessary immediately after any snow load greater than 10 cm, in windy conditions greater than 90 km/h and any exceptional external element and/or which may have damaged certain constituents of the cover.
