Why choose mosaic for your swimming pool tiling?

There is no shortage of reasons to praise the merits of mosaic tiles.

Ecological, durable and reliable material

The swimming pool mosaic tiles are made entirely from recycled glass, as guaranteed by its 14021 certification.

This is the most used coating for swimming pools due to its very high resistance. Glass paste mosaic is durable. Its tiles are robust and completely waterproof. They are not affected by maintenance products, including chemicals, which you can use to purify the water in your pool.

The only precaution to take concerns the manufacture of the joints during installation. To ensure they are foolproof, we recommend the use of epoxy joints, which are much more qualitative than cement joints. The latter are sensitive to the products used to keep pool water healthy, while epoxy joints resist everything.

Adaptation to all types of swimming pools

Exterior swimming pool tiling is applicable to concrete swimming pools, but also to other types of support: polystyrene, galvanized steel, polyester and polypropylene.

The small size of the mosaic tiles allows them to be adapted to the various shapes of the pools, including curves, stairs, unevenness, etc.

Infinite choice of colors and combinations

We invite you to browse the different ranges that we offer. They are numerous and, above all, extremely varied. You have a very wide choice of colors and can then play with combinations to create a uniqueswimming pool tiles.

Easy maintenance

The cleanliness of your pond lining is essential to avoid contaminating your water. However, maintaining the swimming pool mosaic is very simple. Full cleaning is recommended once a year. On the other hand, if you notice in the meantime that your water line is stained with dirt, you can clean it quickly. In fact, it is this part which gets dirty first, due to deposits from materials floating on the surface, notably plant debris, but also algae and limestone.

A classic push broom is perfect for maintaining your swimming pool mosaic. It can be applied to all surfaces and reaches the corners of stairs and other fittings. You can also turn to automated tools, which are more expensive, but valuable if your pool is large enough.

It is important to clean the tiles, but also the joints, because debris tends to cling to them. It is important not to let them turn black for reasons of hygiene, but also to avoid darkening your water.

Select specific products for swimming pools, as they will mix with the water in which you swim. They must not be corrosive so as not to damage the coating. In any case, after cleaning, clean your water using the robot or your usual method. You thus get back on healthy footing, you enjoy crystal clear water and a color magnified by the influence of the colors of your swimming pool mosaic.

How to choose mosaic for your swimming pool?

The color of your mosaic must be selected with the greatest care, because your tiles are designed to last. However, you should not only rely on the colors you like in our catalog, but also take into account the result once the pool is filled.

Water is not the only element to influence the color rendering of your mosaic. Indeed, the deeper the water, the darker the mosaic appears, but you must also take into account the environment of your pond. Be interested in light and the elements around it. Outdoor swimming pool tiling will not have the same effect as the same tiles indoors. If your swimming pool benefits from natural light - because it is behind a bay window inside or outside where the sun has direct access - the mosaic will be brighter than if it is surrounded by walls or a hedge of trees. Also imagine the influence of the reflections of its surroundings: an ocher wall, a green hedge, etc. Furthermore, artificial lighting, whether indoors or outdoors, also influences colors.

The more light you have, the clearer the water appears. On the other hand, a lack of light instantly makes it darker.

Here are some indications that will help you choose the colors of your swimming pool tiles.

~Light blue mosaics were for a long time those found everywhere. They give your water a light turquoise blue color reminiscent of exotic islands.
~The blue mosaics are reflected identically in the water, with a magnifying effect. The more intense your blue, the darker the water appears. On the other hand, you do not find the turquoise effect.
~The mosaics in shades of white and cream naturally bring luminosity to your water which will display a very light sky blue color.
~The mosaics in beige and pink colors bring a greener coloring. The green will be more or less dark, depending on the color density of your tiles.
~ Mosaics in gray tones also tend towards green tones, but less pronounced, because they are grayed out by the influence of the tiles.
~The mosaics in iridescent black and dark green tones recall the fresh waters of our rivers or high mountain lakes.

Laying the swimming pool mosaic

You can install your swimming pool tiling yourself. The necessary tools, as well as the raw materials, can be found in all DIY stores.

The JointPoint® system from Ezarri

The acquisition of modern Ezarri swimming pool tiles gives you access to their revolutionary system for laying small tiles: JointPoint®. This is a process patented in 1991 which creates attachment points at the back of the tiles, allowing them to be connected to each other and form plates.

These are then easy to apply to the walls of your swimming pool. You are guaranteed a perfect, simple and homogeneous installation of the mosaic on any surface, because it is much easier to align the plates than to lay the tiles one by one.

JointPoint® attaches to a very small part of the tile and leaves 92% of its surface free to apply the glue. The fixing of the mosaic is thus in no way affected. The plates formed remain strong, but also malleable, which allows them to follow the various curves and shapes of the pool. If there is an obstacle to get around, simply cut out the plate.

Finally, JointPoint® offers infallible resistance to water and supports variations in the support which can expand or retract, particularly depending on atmospheric conditions.

Thanks to JointPoint®, you save considerable time during installation and are guaranteed perfect alignment of your tiles. With traditional paper fixation, you work more slowly and alignment becomes much more complicated.
