Platinum / cartridge filtration kit
The cartridge filtration system as its name suggests consists of a filtration cartridge generally made of paper and synthetic fabrics (DACRON), passed through by the water to be filtered.
There are several weaving finenesses of the filter media, the most common thresholds being between 20 and 50 microns.
The body of the filter is either stainless steel or like here and the most common in ABS.
The longevity of a filter cartridge oscillates between 500 and 2000 hours of filtration, or between 1 and 2 seasons, depending on its size but also its quality, note that it is not suitable for very hard water.
It is wise to use a set of 2 cartridges in season, when changing the cartridge, the one rinsed with a jet of water will be placed in a bucket of water +/- 10 liters into which 1 liter of filter descaling solution is poured, thus delaying the total replacement of the cartridge.
Advantages and not the least, the investment in a cartridge filtration system is relatively low compared to a sand system where it is necessary to add the quantity of sand to the filter, the operating cost is also minimal and the filter or here the filtration plate takes up very little space and can be adapted to any type of technical room.
