Misting consists of "atomizing" water, in order to create very fine droplets. These fine droplets will evaporate, almost instantly, on contact with air and heat. It is evaporation which will pump calories from the hot air, thus causing a lowering of the temperature.
Due to micro droplet atomization, misting is an economical system, which uses little water (between 1 and 2L/hour).
