Advice Concerning JDO garden sheds
So that you can enjoy your JDO product for a long time, Wood maintenance is essential. Unless otherwise indicated, your product is delivered to you raw, that is to say that treatment of the wood with stain is absolutely essential.
If you have chosen factory pre-treated, for example by autoclave impregnation or application of a coat of paint, you can start assembly immediately.

Autoclave-impregnated wood is protected against bad weather, but it can be additionally coated with maintenance oils.

Pwood protection / maintenance
Wood should not be subjected to sunlight or moisture before or during assembly. Before assembly, you must apply a suitable stain to your wooden product (including surfaces that are not accessible after assembly). Garden wood impregnated in autoclave (iac) with very high humidity linked to its manufacturing process, tends to form rings and superficial mold due to storage. However, these do not lead to the destruction of the wood, nor do they hinder its resistance. After the wood has dried, the mold can be removed, for example, with a brush and this visual defect fades with exposure to bad weather.
The stain used must contain complete protection against blue stain, fungi, rot, mold and wood parasites.You must reapply a protective layer at least every two years.Inside of a home, wood protection is recommended, and it is essential outside.
Find out more in the specialist trade on protective stains, appropriate exterior coats and their compatibility (primary coats are not all suitable for all stains). Failure to follow these instructions shortens the life of your product and may result in the termination of your warranty rights.

Impregnated spruce wood autoclave (iac)

Whether it is a garden shed, a tool shed, a pavilion or an arbor, each product is delivered equipped with an appropriate quantity of bitumen roof covering. This primarily serves as temporary protection against bad weather.
In order to guarantee lasting protection, we recommend that you add a bitumen shingle covering to the roof. You will thus do what is necessary to give your product great longevity and resistance to bad weather. (option on quote)
