The installation of the concrete swimming pool

" Properly setting up your kit swimming pool means being able to take full advantage of it with a minimum of constraints for maximum pleasure."

The chosen location must be on stable and original ground and not on backfill for perfect longevity of your installation.

Location of your concrete swimming pool must be well exposed to the sun, avoiding as much as possible the shadows cast to allow a period of optimal use.

Avoid trees and other bushes are imperative, in order to avoid the recovery of leaves in the basins as well as clogging of the filter and pump.

Finally, learn about the underground networks passing the location of the concrete swimming pool, in order to avoid accidents during excavations.

The choice of the type of construction will condition the earthworks, in effect when tracing it will be necessary to take into account the width of the concrete block on the entire periphery of the swimming pool, as well as the dimensions of the passage technique.

Step 1: the delimitation of the earthwork for your concrete swimming pool

Step 3: the masonry of the swimming pool

The first step before any construction is to inquire with the services of your town hall and submit the building permit or the preliminary declaration of works.

Different exemptions from administrative formalities exist depending on the surface area of ​​the pool (less than or equal to 10 m²), but also on the duration of installation (administrative exemption for an installation of less than 3 months).

Once the administrative formalities have been completed, the construction of the swimming pool in concrete kit itself can start...

The first phase is the construction of the base.

With a dimension of +/- 17 cm thick, it will be carried out on a bed of gravel called "hedgehog". Its function will be to raise the surface of the bottom of the excavation, its thickness will be 10 cm.

In order to avoid clogging of the drain, it will be necessary to plan the installation of a geotextile, bidim type.

It will therefore be necessary , between the thickness of +/- 17 cm for the base and 10 cm for the hedgehog, take this into account during the earthworks for the bottom of the excavation

With all this, it will be necessary to put in place a polyane film on the hedgehog in order to protect it from clogging by the concrete of the raft . In order to prevent any deformation of the basin due to the vertical thrust of the ground, it will be necessary to "arm" with2 layers de treillis soudées.

This trellis, like any reinforcing steel, must be coated with a minimum of 5 cm of concrete. The position between the two layers will be ensured by the installation of a layer spacer called SAT, to be positioned every meter.

In order to ensure the anchoring of the irons in the base, it will be necessary to position "U" in vertical hold at the edge chaining of the raft, a minimum coverage of 50 cm will be made.

Two constructions are possible in our concrete swimming pool kits for the creation of your pool, informing blocks, or intraditional concrete blocks.

Construction in forming blocks requires a double reinforcement of the wall, during the construction process horizontal and vertical reinforcement, once the assembly has been carried out with respect for the reinforcement, all you have to do is bring in a concrete router in order to fill the blocks to be formed with concrete and thus stiffen the structure. This technique is also possible when building with Polystyrene blocks.

For traditional construction (in concrete blocks or agglos), you will need to create a low and high belt, each made up of 3 twisted irons of 8 mm, stiffening posts will be made every 2 meters Maximum, reinforced by 2 twisted irons of 8 mm.

Step 4: the parts of the concrete swimming pool in kit to be sealed

These are the parts to be put in place for the suction and the backflow of water from the basin. It is advisable to systematically install parts to be sealed with a liner, even on a concrete swimming pool, so in the event of intervention on a waterproofing problem, it is possible at a lower cost to install a liner or a polyester covering without having to change the pieces.

The Skimmer.

Its aim is to keep the water surface of the swimming pool perfectly clean, its position in the pool will take into account the prevailing winds and the hydraulic principle of the pelvis. Connected to the suction of the filtration group, the skimmer can quickly absorb surface impurities, it seals between 2 and 4 cm under the coping.

The flow rate of a skimmer is 7 m³/h maximum, for pipes with a diameter of 50 mm.

The suction speed of family swimming pools is between 2.5 and 3 m/s, we consider 1 skimmer for 25 m³ of water.

Discharge nozzles.

They are used to distribute the filtered water on its return to the pool, it has an adjustable jet allowing the jet to be directed towards the surface.

The number of discharge nozzles must be equal to or greater (+1 generally) than the number of skimmers.

The flow rate of a discharge nozzle is 6 m³/h, it is sealed between 35 and 50 cm from the axis of the room under the coping.

Broom socket.

Its role is to connect the manual pool broom, but also a hydraulic robot cleaner with overpressure.

The broom socket must be placed in the center of the length of the pool, it is equipped with a PN 16 bar pipe, in no case does it participate in the recycling of water.

It is sealed between 20 and 30 cm from the axis of the room under the coping.

The bottom drain.

Its main function is to allow the pool to drain.

It is positioned either in the large bath for pools with a diving pit, or in the center of the pool for flat bottom pools, it also allows the suction of the heaviest impurities falling to the bottom of the pool. basin.

A bottom drain with an average flow rate of around 6 m³/h.

The projector.

The projector allows you to illuminate your pool after dark so to obtain another more cozy atmosphere in your pool, there are halogen projectors and since LED projectors, the latter have a longer lifespan and power consumption60 times less than a halogen, an LED projector consumes13 W.

It is sealed between 45 and 55 cm under the coping.
